Hey - It’s Fin. Recetly this newsletter hit a small milestone of 500 subs. I thought we’d do something a little different for this edition, looking into how I did it and what’s next.

New Subs and Monetisation 🧐
First off, thank you all so much for reading and being a part of my niche corner of the internet. It really means a lot. Growth over the last two months has been steady. A handful of you came from a number of Reddit posts, another handful from Twitter, but the majority of you came from a series of ad campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Google.
Paid ads are a reliable/highly effective channel, but also an expensive one. For every new subscriber, I’m currently making a 30-40% loss. 40% of sign-ups subscribe to another publication I recommend, which gives a small kickback. The rest of the revenue comes from ads. But now it’s time for phase two…
Phase two is where you come in. I need your help, this newsletter isn’t for me. It’s for you, not the royal you, you reading right now. This is a chance to turn this newsletter into whatever you want it to be. I’ve left some questions below, give them a read and we’ll talk soon!
